Today, A kindergarten near my house organised a cultural program. They had invited grandparents of every student but very few were present. An anchor spoke on mic again and again, saying "Grandparents Should participate in such programs as the participation will enrich your grandchildren's lives"
I heard this and wondered, why is the anchor repeating this again and again? Doesn't he know about urban life? This reminded me what Dr. APJ Abdul kalam had said. During Ramnath Goenka Awards ceremony, he asked the audience, "How many of you live or want to live in a joint family?" Very few people raised hands. Dr. Kalam was talking about value system. According to Dr. Kalam, Value system is very important thing in human life and It is related to National prosperity. National prosperity is equal to A+B+C. A means GDP, B means reduction of people under poverty line and C means Value system. It is just an example. You can also guess if you live in city, How many of the people you know live with their parents? If you will talk to anyone on this topic, they will give many reasons. But I think one thing is very important 'Volition'.
